GEORGE SALTZ's 87th BIRTHDAY BLAST at COMIC STRIP LIVE

It will be a very special evening as some of New York's top comics come to celebrate GEORGE SALTZ's 87th birthday at COMIC STRIP LIVE on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 7:30 PM.

Show tickets are easily available through Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets are $20 each, with a two-item minimum purchase.

After having a successful 40-year career as a clinical psychologist, GEORGE SALTZ came out of retirement to try doing stand-up.

He was nearly 80 years old, but the passion had always been there.  On March 28, 2014, his story was featured in the Daily News.  George was named the Funniest Jewish Comic in NYC and the Funniest Comic in the Mid-Hudson Valley! He is currently starring in the documentary "Still Standing" along with Natalie K. Levant, premiering at the Lower East Side Film Festival on July 10.  He is frequently featured at COMIC STRIP LIVE as well as other major comedy clubs in New York and the region.  Today he celebrates his 87th birthday and seventh year of performing stand-up comedy.

Also on the bill will be:

GLADYS SIMON is a Comedy Legend who has mentored the nation's top comics for decades. Gladys has worked comedy clubs across the country and calls COMIC STRIP LIVE her comedy home, where she regularly produces shows right in "Gladys' Room."

NATALIE K LEVANT started doing stand-up a few years ago when AARP turned her down for membership.  She is starring in the documentary "Still Standing" with George Saltz, premiering at the Lower East Side Film Festival on July 10!   A regular performer at comedy clubs throughout the Philadelphia region, Natalie has appeared at Parx Casino, Catch A Rising star and Stress Factory.

VANESSA HOLLINGSHEAD was named one of the "FIFTY OF THE FUNNIEST WOMEN ALIVE" on Oxygen TV.  Vanessa has performed at top comedy clubs across the country and was featured on Showtime TV's "FUNNY WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, Starring Fran Drescher."
